Lea Ann Coffelt, 76, of Hollister, MO passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was born March 28, 1949, in Kansas City, KS. She was adopted by her loving parents Reid and Margaret Arnold.
Lea Ann spent her first 8 years in the tiny town of Milan, KS until her parents picked up and moved to the Branson area. Her family built by hand the Lucky 13 resort on OO Hwy, Stone County. Lea Ann was a proud graduate of Reeds Spring, High School. She spent many summers water skiing on Table Rock Lake and got her first job at the Shepherd of the Hills Theater. She created and adapted the role of Mrs. Ada Wheeler, which has been her lifelong legacy. She met her husband Jerry L. Coffelt, as actors in the theater and they were married April 13th, 1968. She gave birth to their only child, Angela M. Coffelt, and was a stay home mom through the early years of their daughter's life. She then held various jobs in the Branson area, one of which was for Sylvia and Charlie Reish, at the Reish Shoe Store, and then eventually inherited her husband's business, Missouri Bench Probation Services, when he passed away in 2006. She was also active in numerous area organizations including the Taney County Senior Citizen Board.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Reid and Margaret Arnold, her brother Phillip Arnold, and her beloved husband Jerry L. Coffelt.
Lea Ann is survived by her only child Angela M. Coffelt and her grandchildren Reid Eaton and Grace Cummings.
A Celebration of Life is to be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Shepherd of the Hills Playhouse Theatre 5585 W. 76 Country Blvd Branson, MO 65616.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to Shepherd of the Hills Family Fun Park, Reverend James Coffelt, Peyton and Evan Sanders, John Fullerton, Randy Plummer and Emalee Flatness-Combs for their assistance in preparing this memorial service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers the family would request donations be made in Lea Ann's name to New Life Temple, Restoration Center at www.nltemple.com/give .
