Laura Lee Payne

February 16th 1979 - April 29th 2023

Laura was born February 16th to Louis Payne and Lynn Payne (Call) in Peoria, IL and moved to Missouri at the age of 5.

She was a Hillcrest High graduate class of 1997, where she involved herself in being a Highlander and developed the love of art and the JROTC program.

Laura was a kind and patient listener. She was a devoted partner, daughter, sister and a very proud aunt!

Laura was articulate. She loved painting and drawing, restoring old items into new beautiful items. She was a lover of music, animals and the outdoors. Always a giver without judgement.

Her greatest love was her family and friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her sister, Shawnia Crafton.

She is survived by her partner in crime, Jo Bivens of Springfield; father, Louis Payne of Brighton; mother, Lynn Payne of Stockton; sister, Sarah (James) Noble of Mt. Vernon; nephews, Jay Tyler and Dayton-James; nieces, Tristan, Delaney, Carli, Sierra and Chloee; sister, Jaime (Dainel) Brown Elaine of Willard; along with numerous family members and dear friends.
