Laura "Laurie" Lorenz, 62, Springfield, Mo., was born on March 26, 1952 in St. Louis, Mo., and went to be with Jesus on March 9, 2015 after a short illness. Laurie had a long standing career with Mercantile Bank of St. Louis and moved back to Springfield to be near family. She loved music and was a former member of Sweet Adelines Barbershop Quartet. Most of all, Laurie loved Jesus, her best friend Susie, being an Aunt, and great-Aunt, and her extended family at Battlefield Towers Apts. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Lorenz. She is survived by her immediate family, Mary Beth Cook (Tom), Suwanee, Ga.; Susan Lorenz, Naples, Fla.; Peggy Gawley, Springfield; Martin Lorenz, Dallas, Texas; Jim Brinkman, Collinsville, Ill.; nephews, Chris Cook, Tim Cook, Ryan Lorenz, Matthew Kephalas; nieces, Kimberly Cook, Katie Cook; great-nieces, Olivia, Alexis and Amelia Cook; and great-nephew, Aidan Lorenz. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 7 p.m., at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, 3801 S.
