Larry Stallings

Larry Wayne Stallings, 86, a lifelong resident of Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026. He bravely fought a long battle with cancer. He took his last breath at home at peace with his Lord surrounded by those he loved. He was born August 27, 1939, to Howard and Beulah Stallings.

Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling with the love of his life and wife Sue as well as family and friends. Larry and Sue shared many adventures over their 50-year marriage. They enjoyed working together through many different business ventures. Larry was a third generation produce distributor. He enjoyed building cabinets and furniture that developed into building custom homes. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Wayne Stallings. He is survived by his wife, Sue Stallings; son, Chris Cantrell; granddaughters, Mackenzie and Mallory; along with many other friends and family. He will stay alive in our hearts and the many stories we will share while he smiles down on us from his eternal home with his Lord.

A ‘family’ celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
