Larry Dean McCoy 66 from Belvidere, Illinois passed away suddenly of heart failure at his home in Springfield, Missouri on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Born in Belvidere on December 10, 1956, to Roger A. McCoy and Thelma V. (Self).

Larry was a 1975 graduate of North Boone High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the Air Force where he served as a jet engine mechanic for 8 years.

Larry married the love of his life Marianne Ethredge on September 16, 1978, in California. They had two children while both serving in the Air Force.

Larry enjoyed life building computers, cooking, spending time with his children and grandsons and going on cruise with siblings.

Larry is survived by daughter, Tawny (Lance) Wilcox; son, Michael Allen all of Glennville, Georgia; brothers, Tony (Anita) McCoy of Colorado, Roger (Carol) McCoy of California, Gary McCoy of Illinois, J. Steven (Billie Rae) McCoy of Florida; sisters, Mary Lou (Holcey, Jr,) Wilkins of Arizonia, Debbie (Larry) Lott of Illinois, Patricia (William) Lawing of Tennessee; and a host of niece & nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne; parents, Roger and Thelma; sister, Nina (Wes) Latt; brothers, Earl Edward McCoy, A. Neil (Eileen) McCoy, Michael (Cheryl) McCoy, R. Eugene McCoy; nieces, Hope McCoy, Dawn McCoy, Colleen McCoy, Tina (Marty) Fritz; great nieces, Destiny Dobbs, Christi McCoy, Shelby Brown, Dusty Dobbs.
