Lance Christopher Smith, was born June 25th, 1981, in Springfield, Missouri, to Rosetta Marie Smith and Kevin Lloyd Martin. Lance attended Central High school.

Lance enjoyed boxing, writing and singing songs, drawing, spending time with family; especially with his daughter, Nevaeh, and son, Kyron.

Lance was preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Rector; grandfather, Richard Brown, Sr.; grandparents, Margaret and David Barker; grandfather, Joseph Weaver; Aunt, Cynthia Martin; three Uncles, Lathan McDaniel, Larry Martin, James Martin; and cousin, Marquisha Adams.

He leaves to cherish his memories his Loving Mother, Friend, and confidant, Rosetta M. (William) Martin; Father, Kevin L. Martin; daughter, Nevaeh Smith; son, Kyron Jones; step-father, Richard L. Smith, Sr.; siblings, Victoria A. Reynolds, of Columbus Ohio, Richard L. Smith, Jr. and Anthony L. Smith; grandmother, Bessie M. Brown; Aunts, Marilyn Foster-Martin, Victoria Manier, Janice Martin, Janine Martin, Melissa Brown, Katherine (Charles) Armstrong, Kandra Martin, all of Springfield, MO; Uncles, Leroy Brown, Eric Brown, and Richard Brown, Jr. of Springfield, MO; great aunts, Rosetta Clarida, and special friend, Sarah Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
