Kristopher "Chance" Wendlandt, 39, of Marshfield, MO passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026. He was born November 14, 1986, to Ronald and Diana "Jill" Wendlandt in Ft. Worth, TX.

Chance was a stubborn, strong, and independent person. He loved riding and racing. He began racing bicycles before moving on to motorcycles and dirt bikes, eventually competing in motocross. Fifteen years ago, Chance was in a motocross accident that changed his life forever. Despite the challenges that followed, he remained strong and independent and rarely, if ever, asked anyone for help. He faced life with determination and never let his circumstances define who he was.

Growing up, Chance enjoyed riding horses, camping, and spending time with his dad at the drag races. Together, they shared a love of muscle cars, including Trans Ams and Camaros, creating many memories that Chance carried with him throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Ronald Keith Wendlandt; his maternal grandparents, Chester A. Farnsworth and Jane (Haymore) Farnsworth; paternal grandparents, Edwin "Bud" Wendlandt and Geraldine (Price) Wendlandt; his cousin, Dustin Fluit; several aunts and uncles; and his precious dog, Brembo.

Chance is survived by his mom, Jill Wilson; his stepdad, Reggie Wilson; his siblings, Brandi Massie and husband Matthew, Jason Wendlandt and wife Ashley, Jeremy Wendlandt, Chris Wilson, and Robyn Myers and husband Doug. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kiana Kanengieter and husband Daylon, Kyler Massie and wife Alliyah, Karter Massie and wife Libertie, Kezli Massie, Kamden Massie, Brock Wendlandt and wife Emma, Jaley Gentry and husband Owen, Beau Matney, Breann Hampton and husband David, Devin Myers and wife Kim and Aleeya Wilson; many great nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Pirelli.

Chance loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of racing, stubborn spirit, and for the time they got to spend together.
