IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kirby
Archie
June 1, 1962 – July 5, 2025
Kirby Lane Archie, 63, was born June 1, 1962, in Cairo, IL to Walter Cleo Archie and Clara Belle Ferrell. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Springfield, MO. He grew up in various places including Webster and Douglas counties. He had struggled with health issues, both mentally and physically, for many years. Kirby was preceded in death by his mother, father and his brother Scott. He served in the United States Army, in the early 1980's, as a Motor Transport Operator (64C) with the 3rd Armored Division stationed outside of Frankfurt, Germany. He was very proud of his family's heritage of service to the country. He was a truck driver for many years travelling the continental United States, Canada and Mexico with the CB handle of "Straightjacket". He loved to hunt, fish and ride horses and had an affinity for classic rock, classic country and low-budget "B-movies". He is survived by his son Travis, his wife Malana, their three boys Caden, Jackson and Gibson, grandsons whom he doted on and loved very dearly, and nieces Amanda and Laurie. In moments of clarity, throughout his life, Kirby professed faith in Jesus Christ as his savior. His family's hope and faith rests in the comfort that he is in a much better place and free from the troubles he had in life. No funeral arrangements have been made at this time, but a family ceremony will happen sometime in the future.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
