Kendra Lynn Bartholomew, 45, of Strafford, MO passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born October 25, 1977, to Jerry and Frieda Maclear in Denver, CO.
Kendra grew up in Denver chasing after whatever caught her attention at the moment. She graduated Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor's degree in Education with dreams of becoming a teacher. She used that degree to teach in five places spanning three countries and served for four years as a missionary in Botswana, Africa. After her world travels, Kendra came home to find the love of her life and start a family. She married Chris Bartholomew and after the loss of a few, was finally blessed with two precious boys that love and adore their super mom. Even after being attacked by cancer, Kendra fought to continue to be a supportive wife and unstoppable, homeschooling mom. Her love for God and people lives on in the lives of her family and those she served all around the world. Kendra was a compassionate and self-sacrificing. She always cared more for what others wanted than her own needs. She loved God fiercely and never backed away from His call on her life.
Kendra is survived by her husband, Chris Bartholomew, two sons, Ian and Jabin, her parents, Jerry & Frieda Maclear, sisters and their husbands, Ruth and Jose Pino, Michelle and Pat Hill, her sister-in-law and husband, Amy & Kris Kemper, her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Kyleen, Conner, Piper, Kris Jr., Bailey, a great niece, Nyla, and numerous friends made along the way as well as a large extended Canadian family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
