IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ken Lebow

December 29, 1954 – May 18, 2019
Ken LeBow Cameron, 64, Springfield, formerly of Mt. Vernon and Lamar, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield after a period of failing health.
Ken was born on December 29, 1954, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Monett, Missouri, the fourth and youngest child of Wilburn Triece and Bonnie Ruth (Patton) Cameron of Mt. Vernon. He grew up in Mt. Vernon and attended school there, also in Lamar, and Parkview High School, Springfield, from which he graduated in 1973. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Technology with emphasis in Construction Management from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) in 1977. He had resided in Springfield ever since. He worked for Weatherwood Fence and as a construction supervisor Oak Grove Construction Company, as an independent contractor, and also as an insurance adjuster in the Springfield area for Cameron Mutual Insurance Company, Cameron, Missouri.
He enjoyed the outdoors and had a hunting cabin in Tunas where he spent much time with close friends year round. He also enjoyed area high school sports -- baseball and basketball-- and attended games regularly. He loved to tell stories about his life experiences, family, and friends -- slightly embellished.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon on April 12, 1964.
He is survived by daughter, Julianna (Justin) Williamson of Anderson, SC; son, Andrew Cameron of Springfield, MO; granddaughters, Lacy and Lizzy Williamson of Anderson, SC; brothers, Paul (Carol) Cameron of Springfield, MO and Ross (Robin) Cameron of Springfield, VA; one sister, Susan (Richard) Lee of Springfield, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be missed by family and many long-time friends in the area.
Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12 noon at First Baptist Church (CLC Multipurpose Room at rear of church), 525 South Ave., Springfield, then burial at Johns Chapel Cemetery, N Farm Road 25, Ash Grove. His nephew Rev. Rich Lee will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Johns Chapel Cemetery, c/o Larry Nicholson, 2497 N Farm Rd 17, Ash Grove, MO 65604.
