Karen Loraine Allen of Cassville, Missouri, fell asleep in death, Tuesday April 28, 2026. She was born November 16, 1947, to Wayne and Margorie Porter in Webb City, Missouri. Her father passed away when she was in her 20's, and her mother, Marge remarried Alva Rector. Karen and the rest of the family adored him as a father.
Karen married her husband, Raymond in May 1973, a union that lasted until her passing. She was proudest of being a loving wife, mother, and most of all grandmother to Aaron and Katlyn. As well as being a lifelong third generation Jehovah's Witness. Being a housewife, mother and homemaker gave Karen a wonderful opportunity to tell others about her God Jehovah, and she did so as much as possible with her friends of like faith, whom she cared about very deeply. She always wanted to know if someone was having problems so that she could offer kind words of encouragement or help in any way. Some of her favorite times were being at the Kingdom Hall, Annual Assemblies and Conventions in person where she could see and visit with friends of the past that she didn't see regularly.
Sitting around the house with Raymond and their dog, Wrangler was a daily routine enjoyed by all. If music was on in the background, it would either be Kingdom melodies or her favorite singer, Elvis Presley. Karen loved the Ozarks, having lived most of her life in Wheaton and Cassville, always enjoying anytime she had the chance to go to Roaring River or Branson.
She was preceded in death by two older brothers, Joe McConnell and Don Porter both of Monett, MO; and her younger sister, Kandra Sperling of Bella Vista, AR.
Karen is survived by her husband, Raymond Allen; two children, her son, Wayne and his wife Sherry of Anchorage, Alaska and daughter, Crystal and her husband Shane Knoxville, TN; along with two grandchildren. She is also survived by her younger brothers, Dan Porter and his wife Lee Ann of Sarcoxie and Bruce Porter and his wife Debbie of Bentonville, AR.
Karen's life was a testament to love, loyalty and faith in a resurrection to a perfect healthy body. She will be missed and lovingly remembered until that day.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
