Julie Jo (Penland) Horner, 65, a lifelong resident of Springfield, MO passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was born November 29, 1958, to William and Betty Penland.

Julie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family unconditionally. Julie married her husband, Sam on April 16, 1976 and had two kids, Jasmin and Jordan. She was a stay at home mom during their kids' younger years. Julie and Sam started an engraving business in 1992 and later both Jasmin and Jordan joined the family business. Julie enjoyed reading, listening to music, excelled at trivial games and was known for her "Julie Jokes''

Julie was preceded in death by her son, Jordan Horner; father, William Penland, Mother, Betty Mowery; sister Jill Elliott; and nephew, Jared Elliott.

Julie is survived by her husband, Sam Horner; her daughter, Jasmin Horner; three grandkids, Lillian, Quinn and Isiah Horner, two great-grandkids, Amelia and Ezra Gutierrez; step-father, Wayne Mowery; step-mother, Sammy Penland; step-brother, James; step-sisters, Marianne and Cathy; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
