IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Juliana
Barnes
February 27, 1962 – November 18, 2025
Juliana "Julie" Barnes took her final bow on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Cox South Hospital, leaving this world with the same sparkle, style, and unstoppable spirit that powered her through every chapter of her life. Juliana was never fond of obituaries, but her family is pretty sure she'd flash her famous ornery grin and raise a glass to a few joyful words celebrating her bright and beautiful journey.
Born on Feb. 27 to Julia Anna (Landoll) Blevins and Ronnie Landoll, Juliana was the sixth of eight siblings whose names all begin with the letter "J": Judy Flehmer (late husband Ed) of Pierce City, Mo.; Jane (late husband Ross) of Verona, Mo.; Jean Fitzgerald of Fort Worth, Tx.; Joyce Woods (Dwayne) of Springfield, Mo.; Janice Wolters (Larry) of Clever, Mo.; James Landoll (Tammy) of Pierce City, Mo.; and Janell Patton (Jim) of Monett, Mo. Growing up in such a full house helped shape the humor, heart, and resilience she carried throughout her life.
Juliana attended elementary school at St. Mary's in Pierce City and was a proud graduate of Pierce City High School in the class of 1980.
Tall, stylish, and full of grace like her grandmother Clara Mae Landoll, Juliana lit up every room the moment she stepped inside. Her friends lovingly called her "Jules," a name that perfectly captured her shine. She had a natural flair for fun, the life of every gathering, a warm and thoughtful hostess, and someone who made everyone feel like they belonged. A passionate Duke Blue Devils fan and a devoted Atlanta Braves enthusiast, Juliana even named her dog after her all-time favorite player, Chipper Jones. Her loyalty ran deep, her humor ran bright, and her passions were always worn proudly.
Even in her final days, her quick wit, stubborn strength, and radiant spirit never dimmed. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, friendship, and fierce love, cherished by her family, her close and loyal friends, her extended family, and everyone lucky enough to call her part of their world.
Juliana was preceded in death by her parents, whom she loved dearly.
Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate health care professionals who supported her throughout the years, including the entire team at Ozark Dialysis and Drs. Nayar and Garcia. Juliana was deeply touched by your kindness, your attentive care, and especially the friendship you offered her during some of her most difficult days.
Toodles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
