Judy Bush

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Judy Lynn Bush, who passed away on May 21, 2026, at the age of 62, following a short battle with illness.

Born on July 4, 1963, to James and Geneva Lucas, Judy had a spirited personality that fit her birthdate well. She was strong-willed, independent, and known for her sharp sense of humor and gift for storytelling. Whether sharing memories, making someone laugh, or speaking her mind, Judy left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Judy was many things throughout her life — a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loyal friend. She loved rock-n-roll, adored dogs of every kind, and treasured her family above all else. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandbabies, who were truly the center of her world.

She is survived by her children, Jaymie, Jacob (Ashley), and Mallory; her grandchildren, Jevin, Jaylynn, Artrell, Jayvien, Louis, Masilas, and Lenni; her great-granddaughter, Ajaya; her siblings, Larry, Jana, Janeen, and Kim; as well as a large circle of extended family, friends, and beloved fur babies who will miss her deeply.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Lake Springfield Boathouse in Springfield, MO. While flowers are welcomed and appreciated, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to a local animal shelter in her honor.
