Judith "Judy" Lee Mullings passed away quietly in her home on Sunday, April 12, 2026. She was surrounded by her family.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Mullings; her parents, Raymond and Margaret Sellers; her brother, Raymond "Buddy" Sellers Jr.; her sister, Shirley and Wayne Farrell and her grandsons, Thadeus Boatman and Seth Boatman-Baker. 

She is survived by her sister, Fay and Daryl Ladner; her three children, Paula Patton, Patricia Morris and Samuel Jr. and Lesley Baker; nieces, Kathy and Mike Stanton and Annie and Daniel Bass; nephew, Andrew and Krystal Ladner; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and three great nephews.

She was born December 10, 1941, in Washington, DC and graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in Maryland. Judy married her first husband, Sam Baker, in 1960. She raised three children in Davidsonville, MD; moving to Springfield in 1976. Judy found her way to Pleasant Hope where she worked as a teller at the Pleasant Hope Bank. She met Ernest Mullings during this time and the two were married in 1979. Judy worked at the bank until she retired as Vice President of Mortgage Loans. Judy was a great Girl Scout Leader, school bus driver and a church builder.

The family wishes to thank Phoenix Hospice for their gracious efforts on their mother's behalf.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
