Joyce Elaine (Brown) Misemer Gifford, 89, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born October 20, 1935, in Republic, MO.

Joyce graduated from Bois D'arc High School in 1953 and has been an active alumni since. Joyce worked as the Bois D'arc Postmaster for over 30 years and served the Bois D'arc community in many ways. She did books for the Fire Department for 27 years, served on the Water Board for 13 years, and participated in Boosters for 8 years and the 4-H Club for 17 years.

She could sew anything! She loved making quilts and giving them to others. She also crocheted and embroidered in her spare time. She also collected Angels as a hobby.

Joyce wrote: He will give His angels charge of you. To guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11

Joyce is survived by her son and his wife; her grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.

Per Joyce's request no services will be held.
