Joyce La Vonne (Dollar) Blanchard, 74, of Springfield, MO, passed away September 18, 2020. She was born in Sanger, CA, January 6, 1946, to Presley and Lois Dollar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, of 52 years; parents, Presley and Lois; brother, Wayne; and sisters, Sue and Donna.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Annette Blanchard (Stewart Strebeck) and Sandra Blanchard; brothers, James Dollar and Bill Dollar (Ken Taylor); brother-in-law, Carl Blanchard (Wanita); three nieces and a nephew; several people that she loved like her own children; and many friends and loved ones.

Joyce loved being a wife and mother, but she also enjoyed her various jobs in the banking, insurance, real estate, and financial planning world. She has always enjoyed doing crafts and painting, such as making Christmas decorations for the tree and home, but most recently she had become quite skilled in making large, elaborate wreaths for any occasion. Although she would donate to several groups on occasion, she was a consistent supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital since the early days of her marriage because she believed so strongly in their work and mission.

If I could described my mother in two words, they would be feisty and loving.
