Josephine Ruth Boyd, 87 was reunited with loved ones and friends on Wednesday August 25th, 2021.

She was born August 24th, 1934 to the late Bernard Jordan and Erma (Meadows) Jordan of Grantsville, West Virginia.

While she worked several jobs over the years, she was very involved in her church and enjoyed many years as an administrative assistant at Dayspring Christian Fellowship in Springfield, Missouri.

Ruth, as she was affectionately known, was always giving and would always put the needs of others before her own. She helped raise many of her grandchildren and also helped underserved individuals in the community. Ruth had a servants heart, but most importantly she was known as a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was married to Robert P. Boyd for 66 wonderful years and they had 6 children together;
Debbie Boyd, Susan McClure, Michael (Brenda) Boyd, Tamara (Tommy) Burnett, Timothy (Jennifer) Boyd, and Robert Boyd.

Her siblings include Shelby Perry and Bernard Jordan.

She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, as well as 2 great great grand children, and she loved them all dearly.

She is survived by children Susan McClure, Michael Boyd, Tamara Burnett, Timothy Boyd, and Robert Boyd.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Robert P. Boyd; brother Bernard Jordan; infant daughter Debbie Boyd; son-in-law Thomas Burnett

She will be laid to rest with her husband Robert at 2:00pm on September 17th, 2021. Interment will be at Missouri State Veterans cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

She is greatly loved and missed.
