Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Falk was born on December 9, 1968, in Chula Vista, CA and passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the age of 53, due to complications from Covid 19.

Visitation will be 12:30pm with a service to follow at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 21, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Springfield, MO.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Sandy Falk of Springfield, MO., his Uncle Dave McQuown of Weaubleau, MO. Sadly, his older brother, John Falk of Springfield, MO also passed away from complications from covid 19 in the same ICU on January 17, 2022.
Joe is survived by his wife Linda (Ashley) Falk and their two children Alexander, age 10 and Ashley, age 6 of Springfield, MO.
He is survived by one sister, Jody Vecchio and her husband Tony and their children Brittany and Nicholas. He is also survived by his brother's wife and family, Suzanne and their son Noah of Springfield, MO, and son TJ Bartkoski and his wife Jenna of St. Louis, MO. Other family include a sister-in-law, Patty Haas and her husband Joe of Miller, MO, sister-in-law Rebecca Jarman and her husband Larry, their sons Jeff and Zachary, their daughters Amy and Clarissa, and grandchildren Connor, Olivia and Zayden. A brother-in-law Richard Ashley and his wife Valerie of Polk, MO. He is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a multitude of friends.
Joe and his family moved over 100 times as his dad was in the Navy and afterward went where his jobs took them. Joe and his family never knew a stranger, tried to help others along the way and were musically talented.
Joe always had a wonderful sense of humor, a hearty laugh, a beautiful smile and was generous to a fault.
Joe became a Christian at church camp as a child. He graduated from Wheatland High School in 1988 and then completed Army boot camp in Fort Benning, Georgia and received his parachute badge with the 82nd Airborne. Following that he served his country in South Korea at Camp Liberty Bell.
Joe met his future wife Linda in September of 1993 through his Uncle Dave, a Baptist minister who would officiate Joe and Linda's marriage on May 20,1995.
Joe and Linda loved to travel to various states and enjoyed a dream vacation to England and Paris. Joe was vastly talented, working as a radio DJ at a few radio stations, a television board operator for KRDO in Colorado, Hilton Hotels, Expedia and other jobs. He was a hard worker. After trying for 10 years for children, they moved from Colorado Springs, CO to Port Orange, FL to pursue children through IVF. The Good Lord blessed them with Alexander in 2011 and Ashley in 2015.
Due to a car accident in 2018, Joe's health deteriorated but he was a devoted husband and father who loved the Lord and his family fiercely. He was ever the fixer who always tried to make things better.
He loved movies and even appeared in a few! A brief stunt scene in 2012's Christian movie "Broken Faith" and a few other local films. He was hilariously funny, he loved to drive, he loved music and Superman. In the last few years, he enjoyed online games with his good friends and nephews Jeff Jarman and Zachary Jarman.
We, his wife and children are honored and thankful for the outpouring of love in all the kind Facebook posts, wonderful messages, cards, calls, help, food and most of all prayers and support we have received throughout his illness and passing. We love you all and pray for God's best blessings to you all and pray that you seek the same peace and love in Jesus Christ that Joe found. I know my Superman would want it that way.
