Johnetta Farris

Johnetta Elaine Farris, age 77, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with her Jesus on Thursday, April 16, 2026. During her last few days, she was blessed to be surrounded by family, laughing and recalling cherished memories.

Johnetta was born on July 10, 1948. She was the proud daughter of John and Naomi Ducker (Beckerdite).

On May 28, 1966, she married Stephen (Steve) Meese and went on to have three children.

Johnetta worked in retail clothing sales for 13 years where, she developed a love for fashion and handbags. Friends and loved ones would say she was a "classy lady".

On April 16, 2011, she married Francis (Frank) Farris and gained two more children.

Johnetta was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God. Where she loved her church family, helping with ladies' activities.

Johnetta is survived by her children; Mike Meese (Betsy), Donna Graves (Arlen), Consuela Huston (Randy), Anthony Farris (Sara) and Jessica Wagner (Tyson), her grandchildren; Nikki Watson, Zachary Meese (Jeanna), Asia Mitchell (Roy Rodriguez), Andrew Rodgers, Austin Rodgers, Hannah Meese (C.T Ogle), Caitlen Comis, Cheyenne Weeks (Stanley) Nellie Famous (Aaron), Brittany Mitchell (Austin), Beau Huston and Cole Wagner, her 20 great- grandchildren; Coleton Morgan, Bentlee Meese, Kinsley Jaquay, Kam Meese, Rikker Mayberry, Huntley Ogle, Greyson Ogle, Sydney Beavers, Kaynan Rodriguez, Dustin Van Engers, Nalla Famous, Camile Rodgers, Aaliyah Famous, Wayne Rodgers, Amira Famous, Reagan Weeks, Creed Mitchell, Stanley Weeks IV, Barrett Mitchell, Donald Weeks and four siblings Jerry Ducker, Nila Hood, Ornetta Gilliam (Fred) , and Chris Tillinger.
