John William Tramel, 67, of Phillipsburg, MO, passed away February 25, 2021. He was born February 24, 1954, in Pontiac, IL, to Harold(Bill) and Wanda Tramel.
He recently retired from Emerson Climate Technologies as a night shift material handler for over 20+ years, but he did various jobs in his lifetime from a dairy worker, grill cook, to a carnival worker. He is well traveled and loved to just get up and go somewhere or do something just because he could. He loved fishing, the Greenbay Packers, cooking and his birds, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and loved being a Papa the most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an aunt, an uncle and two nephews.
John is survived by his girlfriend of 13 years, Barbara Haney; children, Danny Tramel of Clinton, IA, Ross Milne of Cottonwood, MN, Miranda Mason and husband, Karl Mason of Lebanon, MO, and Teagun Shilts and husband Sam Shilts of Richland, MO, and four step-children, Trish Foulks and Mike Foulks, Andrea Haney, Clifford Asbell, and Tabathia Widel and husband Brandon; 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandson; sister, Sandy Datema and husband Kenny Datema of Republic, MO; brother, George Tramel and wife Roxy Tramel of Eldridge, MO; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; 2 uncles and 2
aunts; and lots of close friends that he met over the years.
Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 14, 2021, on the farm in Eldridge, MO. Please contact the family for the address.
