John Howard Quinn, 80, of Kimberling City was born December 25, 1934 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska and left us for his eternal fly-fishing journey on the rivers of heaven on Monday, January 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mareen; his parents, Frank and Madeline Quinn; one brother, Dale; and one sister, Mary. He spent a lot of his young life in Missoula, MT, where he had a very successful appliance business. After moving to the Ozarks, he became involved in Chateau Mobile Homes before eventually becoming a commercial realtor in Branson, MO. John s love for his church, Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, in Kimberling City was unmeasurable. He gave his time and talents to the church and they in return admired and loved him until the end. All his life he was an avid outdoors men with his love for hunting and fly-fishing. John is survived by his children, Kelly (Renee) Quinn, Kevin (Lynn) Quinn, Colleen Thomas, and Eric Quinn and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren who he adored. Memorial Mass with be held at 11 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Our Lady of the Cove Church, Kimberling City, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
