John Eldon Powell, 82, of Bolivar, MO passed away Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born January 30, 1943, to Clell and Doris Powell in Springfield, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Carolyn Hoskins and her husband, Leo, Bill, Wanda, Ronnie and Vickie.

He is survived by Janice, his wife of 61 years; his daughter, LaDonna Redd and her husband Kevin; his son, John "JJ" Powell and his wife Amanda; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Pat; sister-in-law, Charlotte; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

John lived for the hugs he got from his grands and greats.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
