John "Butch" Andy Choate was born June 25, 1955, in Springfield, MO and passed away October 16, 2024, at his home in Bolivar, MO.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruby (Jump) Choate; and older sister, Charlene Ballinger.

John is survived by daughters, Amy (Brian) Daugherty and Lisa Moon; sisters, Darlene Dinwiddie and Peggy (Gary) Wells; grandchildren, Kylie, Kara, Kayden, Austin, Timmy, Haley, and Caleb; special friend, Terry Altic; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

John had a huge heart and gave the best bear hugs.  He loved to hunt and fish in his younger years and was an avid collector of many things.  He was a member of Pleasant Hill Church. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at CMH Community Room at LimeBank in Bolivar on November 2nd from 1-3pm.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
