IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jodi Eilene
Weaver
December 15, 1971 – July 12, 2022
Jodi Eilene Weaver (Jackson), age 50, of Lebanon Missouri passed away July 12th, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family.
Jodi was born December 15, 1971, to Terry and Brenda (Dryden) Jackson on Lemoore Naval Air Station, Lemoore, California. The family moved to Ottawa, Kansas, in 1973, where Jodi was raised and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1990.
Jodi lived in the area until she was united in marriage to the Love of Her Life, Don Weaver, on March 17, 2001. They lived together in Gardner, Kansas, until Don was recalled to military service after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The couple lived in West Virginia, Illinois, and finally Missouri, settling in Lebanon after Don's retirement.
Jodi and Don worked at raising seven children together. Their oldest is currently 29 and the youngest is 6. After the fourth, Hunter, was born, Jodi gave up her work outside of the home. She has been a full time Homemaker and Homeschool Mother the last 21 years. As a Homeschool Mom, Jodi completed her bachelor's degree at West Virginia University in 2006 to set an example for her children to follow and show them they too could "Do Hard Things" and succeed in life.
Jodi loved her family and their traditions of Friday Night Pizza and a Movie, which normally included an episode of the Waltons, Heartland, or her most recent favorite the new comedy Ghosts. Jodi also loved nature and shared her joy of it with her family. She loved hiking on their property or in parks they lived near, float trips down the Niangua River on tubes and rafts, road trips to see people and explore places, and fall bonfires to cook mountain pies and smores over.
Her love and service to her family was unending. One of her last concerns dealt with praying that all of us left behind without her would find our way to God and accept him as our savior. She prayed this so we all be together again someday. We ask that you remember her prayers and take up this mantle for her.
Though Jodi faced many trials these last few years, her faith became stronger, and she took comfort in finding the joys of her daily life like her quite morning Bible study, spending time with family, or the warmth of evening sunsets. Jodi's Motto had become "I Choose Joy!"
Jodi is survived by her loving husband, Don, of Lebanon, MO, and the couples seven children: Brandon Sands, and wife Ashley of Ottawa, KS; Brittany Bribiesca (Weaver) and husband Alex of Amarillo, TX; Emily Quick (Sands) and husband Derek of Richland, MO; Hunter, Jarrett, Kinsley, and Darbi Weaver of Lebanon, MO and her three grandchildren Kayci, Kian, and Mazi of Richland, MO. Jodi is also survived by her father, Terry of Ottawa, KS, and her brothers; Jim Jackson and wife Tonia of Garnett, KS, and Jeff Jackson and wife Patti of Paola, KS, and their families, and her Maternal Grandmother Darlene Dryden of Ottawa, KS, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jodi is preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Irene Jackson (Dryden), both her Paternal Grandparents, her Maternal Grandfather, her great nephew, and two cousins.
There will be a Remembrance Reunion for Jodi at 11:00 A.M. on Friday July 22, 2022, at the First Freewill Baptist Church located at 280 N. Vanburen Avenue, Lebanon, Missouri, followed by a lunch meal for everyone attending at the same location.
The family requests monetary donations in lieu of flowers. The contributions will be given to an organization selected by Jodi's family from those who helped Jodi the most through her Cancer journey.
