Obituary

James "Jimy" Robert Bennett II, 35, of Springfield, MO, passed away October 23, 2017. He was born March 26, 1982, in San Diego, CA, to James and Joan Bennett. He graduated from Seymour High School where he played basketball and participated in DECA.

Jimy loved skateboarding, parties and his friends. He had the most amazing heart and never met a stranger. He believed it was his job to take care of everyone. Jimy helped so many people over the years; giving them a place to stay, food, skateboards, and even helping them find jobs.

If you knew Jimy he was always helping someone. Even while at work at J.O.B., he would see a homeless person on Walnut Street, fix them something to eat, run down the street, feed them, then back to work he would go. Anyone that knew Jimy would agree he loved people and loved life.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Bennett; and grandparents, Raymond Curl, Roy Bennett, and Molly Bennett.

Jimy is survived by his mother, Joan Bennett; sister, Dana Smith; nephews, Austin and Matthew Smith; grandmother, Mildred Curl; aunts and uncles, James Curl and Janet, Buzz and Melissa Bauer; many cousins; special friends, Jeremy, Heather, Trent, Aaron, Josh, Rochelle and Curtis; and many, many, others that will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Jimy's life will start at 4 PM, Monday, October 30, 2017, and be held at the Springfield Skate Park, 945 W Meadowmere St, Springfield, MO 65807 and a special thanks to J.O.B. and Lindberg's.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
