James R. Watson went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2023, after a short illness. James was a Navy veteran, after serving 11 years to his Country. He retired from Hobart Corporation. Jim was on the board of directors at the Southside Senior Center, where he volunteered many hours. Jim enjoyed playing pool and cards and loved fishing and being outdoors.

Jim is survived by his sister, Pat Jones of Springfield; his sister, Ann Huey and husband Rick, of Republic, MO; a brother, Vernon Watson and wife Debbie of Branson MO; a host of family and friends; and his beloved dog, Ruthie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy; his parents, Andrew and Ruth Watson; and two Brothers; Larry Watson and Terry Watson.
