Jim Dean Groves, 65, of Springfield, MO passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was born July 9, 1959, to Arthur and Georgia Groves in Topeka, KS.

Jim grew up in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Topeka High. He served his country and was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Jim enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers, but he was a diehard fan of the University of Kansas Jayhawks. He liked wrestling, listening to music, and dancing. He had a big, sweet tooth and loved being a goofball, especially with his nieces and nephews. Jim loved his family dearly and was a wonderful uncle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Groves; and his brother, Michael Groves.

He is survived by his sister, Lori Scott; special niece, Nicole Thurman; two additional nieces; one nephew; and many great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
