Jeremy James McCoy, 42, dropped his robe of flesh and took his heavenly flight surrounded by love and family on Friday, April 29, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri. Jeremy was born on October 2, 1979, in Fridley, Minnesota. From a very young age, he always loved entertaining others and making people laugh. Jeremy loved music and to sing (everything from praise and worship to karaoke), hang out by the pool, golf, ski, and cut hair and had a very outgoing personality. He even had an idea to start a hug movement to spread hope and love and promote unity worldwide.

Most of all, Jeremy loved God and his whole family with all his heart. He was the best at praying, encouraging, uplifting, inspiring, sharing the Word of God, forgiving, and being positive. He reminded us all of the fruit if we live and walk in the Spirit, which is what he wanted for everyone, including himself.

Jeremy is survived by mother and stepfather Shirley and John McGee; father, Bruce McCoy; brother, Robert Chatham; sister, Kelly Morriss; sister, Katie McCoy (Bob Lewis); brother and best friend, Jacob Wieting; stepbrothers, Pat and David McGee; grandmother, Katherine Bridgewater; nieces, Erica McCoy and Ashley Morriss; nephew, Brandon Morriss; cousins; Eric Bridgewater, Bradley Bridgewater, and Scott Swenson; and aunt, Bonnie Swenson.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Russell Bridgewater; grandmother, Wilma Bridgewater; and cousin, Jeffrey Swenson.

Jeremy was a true light in this world who will forever be loved and missed.
