Obituary
Jeremy K. Hill, 45, passed away in his home in Willard, Mo., March 13, 2019, surrounded by family. He was born July 13, 1973, in Springfield, Mo., to Toy and Sharon (Smith) Hill. Jeremy left this Earth for his eternal home after a long, hard and courageous fight with cancer.
Jeremy served more than 12 years with the U.S. Army, then worked at Southern Missouri Containers where many co-workers were also his close friends. He was loved by many who will remember his humor, his love of music, his fearless character and unfaltering friendship. Memories of Jeremy will always include devotion to his family and those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and uncle Mick Hill. He is survived by his parents; sister, Lisa Hanson and her husband Jowell; his sons, Jordan and Jackson Hill; his daughter, Amelia Hill; and a multitude of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland, Springfield, followed by a celebration of his life at American Legion Post 639, 2660 S. Scenic, Springfield. Inurnment will be Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Community Partnership of the Ozarks' Homeless Veterans Task Force.
