Jennifer Donovan

Jennifer (Jenny) Donovan, age 41, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 in Phelps County, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Jenny wore many titles with pride: mother to Christi Donovan, daughter to Robin (Rick Ems) and Robert (Kristi Donovan), as well as granddaughter, niece, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, partner, and friend.

She had a heart big enough for every stray animal, every person in need, and just about anyone who crossed her path. Above all else, she was someone who made people feel welcome, cared for, and loved.

Jenny found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time fishing, hanging at the family farm, listening to music, and considered embarrassing her daughter one of her greatest talents. Her colorful hair reflected her vibrant personality—never afraid to stand out or express herself.

Jenny’s legacy lives on through the family and friends who will continue telling her stories, laughing at the memories she created, listening to songs that remind them of her, and carrying forward the love and compassion she shared so generously.

A time to celebrate Jenny’s life will be held on her birthday, Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the Donovan Family Farm in Cuba, MO. More information to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Phelps County Animal Rescue or a benevolent fund for Christi Donovan.
