Jean Marie Montgomery, 84, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, in her home and surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1931, in Springfield, MO, to Eugene and Ruth Arthur. Jean loved family get-togethers, working outside, gardening, shopping and especially finding a bargain. She was a loving mother that always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Montgomery; and her parents; Eugene and Ruth Arthur. Jean is survived by her three children, Linda Brown and husband Richard, Carol Nutsch and husband Donald, and Mike Montgomery and partner Linda Wayman; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; twin sister, Jane Chandler; brothers, Don, Ron, Floyd and Larry Arthur; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host family and friends that will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2015, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses, 2857 N East Ave, Springfield, MO, with Stan Hudson officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
