Obituary

Mary Jane "Janie" Kielty, 75, of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2024, after a terminal illness that ended her precious life. Mary was born on November 18th, 1948, to Cornelius Kielty and Lillian Donahue, and raised by Frank and Lillian Chabrian. After earning a degree in nursing, she dedicated her career to healthcare.

Mary worked as a nurse at Chastain Nursing Facility in Buffalo, Missouri, where her passion for helping and caring for others shone through in her daily work. Her commitment to her patients was a testament to her nurturing spirit.

There were many things that Grandma Mary loved in this life, of all things family was the most important. She cherished her time with her loved ones and found joy in simple things such as watching crime shows, playing bingo with her grandchildren, and observing birds from her porch. Her beloved pets, Ms. Kitty "Princess", and bulldog "Cleo" held a special place in her heart. Mary was also known for her cooking skills, especially her famous chili, which was a favorite at family gatherings and will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of tasting it.

Mary is survived by her three children: Melissa Venable, Rebecca Ledig, and Chad Cutler. Her siblings: Kenneth, and Neil Kielty. Her grandchildren: Brittany and husband Jeffery Barrickman, Meaghan and husband Kaylor Walker, Melanie Allen, Kristina Wood, Hunter Atteberry, Julian Moody, Audrey Venable, Cayden Venable, and Shayden Archer; and her great-grandchildren: Bradley Hitshew, Alilia Hiteshew, Ezra Roberts, Karter and Kingston Walker, Brackson and Beaux Barrickman, Athena Gibbons, Aria Jones, Morgan, Emma and Belle Barrickman. Her nieces and nephews; Kristina Kielty, Michael Kielty, Joey Sales, Ronnie Sales, and Jeanette Weise.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lillian Chabrian; her twin brother, Richard Kielty; her sister, Joanne Sales; her granddaughter, Shala; and her nephew, Sean.

If there is one thing to take away from Grandma's precious life is the time we have on this earth is far too short. She has now gone to be with Jesus, where her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the presence of our Lord and Savior. To know her was to love her and we will cherish the memories we have made with her always. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
