Janice June Meck, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, after a long and hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Born June 27, 1937, Janice was born and raised in Frederika, Iowa and was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church. She lived in Waterloo, Iowa and then moved to Des Moines, IA with her family and worked for Charles Gabus Ford as a title clerk. In 1978, Janice moved with her family to Springfield, Missouri. She had a successful real estate career with Jones and Co. Realtors, Century 21 Southern Properties, and then Re-MAX House of Brokers. She retired in 2002.

Most importantly, Janice was a selfless and devoted mother and wife. She loved her family above all else, and had an unwavering faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Florence and Theron Carroll, and her two brothers Arlen and Joel.

She is survived by her husband, Russell, children Roy Reed (Sharmyne), Connie Bouhaik, Kristen Bieda (John), 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will not be held. To honor her memory, the family asks that tribute donations be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, Pets for Vets, or Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary.
