Janice Leigh (Ladd) Marvel, 76, of Springfield, MO, passed away February 13, 2022. She was born July 3, 1945, in Wichita Falls, TX, to HA and Wanda Ladd.
Janice spent her early childhood surrounded by family in Trumann, Arkansas. Her family moved to New Buffalo, Michigan where she attended elementary school. She graduated from La Porte High School in La Porte, Indiana. Shortly after high school graduation she moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas. She moved to Dallas Texas to receive training in computer data entry and then spent her career working many positions within the computer industry. She worked for Blue Cross Blue shield in Dallas, Texas, FMC in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Halstead Copper in Wynne, Arkansas, and Tyson Foods in Springdale, Arkansas. She spent the last years of her life retired in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Springfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alan Marvel; infant daughter, Rebecca Leigh Freeman; and her parents.
Janice is survived by her two sons, Henry (Hank) Allen and wife Terri and Kenneth Scott Allen and wife Beverly; one stepdaughter, Mary Loch and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Charles Allen, Michael Allen and wife Taryn, Shawnee R Codianne, Tara Adams and husband Zac, Blake Allen and fiancé Lydia Hawkins, and Rebecca Allen (Shelby Yount); greatgrandchildren, Alexia Allen, Alivia Hager, Malakai Myers, and Eden Allen; and one brother, John Keeton and wife Pam.
Services will be held in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo. Date and time pending.
