Janice Elaine Busbey, 77, of Springfield, MO passed away Monday, July 24, 2023. She was born October 1, 1945, to Norman and Dorothy Schmidlin in Inglewood, CA.

She was a strong, silly, caring, devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved turtles (in living and figurine forms), collectable spoons, playing bingo, spending time with those she cared about, the community she lived in, her church, and her cats Fred and Ginger.

She loved deeply and was loved deeply in return. She will be missed.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Dorothy and her friends Tim, Carol, and Betsy.

She is survived by her children, Gene, Norman, and Pamela. Her daughter in law Charlene, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her sisters Linda and Wanda, many nieces and nephews, and her best friend Tammy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
