Lajana "Jana" Lee Young, 37, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. She was born July 7, 1985, to Michael and Lynn Young in San Antonio, TX.

Jana led a full and active life. We moved to Missouri when she was 4 years old to be close to her grandparents. When she started school, she became very active in sports. Her favorite was basketball. She played basketball anywhere she could. She played club ball when she wasn't playing school ball. When she finished high school, she went to Mid-American Nazarene University to play basketball from Fall 2003 to Spring 2007. When she finished there, she came back to Springfield to complete her study in Library Science, but that was put on hold when she opted to start a family. She was only going to school parttime and working full time up until starting her family.

Jana was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Hendrix Quinn; her paternal grandparents, Bruce and Mary Young; her maternal grandfather, John (Papa) Doane; and her uncle Bruce Young.

She is survived by her spouse, Dakota Caudill; daughter, Sloane; parents, Michael and Lynn Young; sister, Ashley and Nathan Smart, Tanner, Shelby, Aubrey, Grayson; grandmother, Carolyne (Nana) Doane; uncle, Jon and Sheri Doane, Justin, Edward Goin; aunt, Donna; Lani Young and family; Ray and Leana Young and family; David Young and family, George Young; Samantha and JC and family; Michelle McDanell and family; Jessica Hutchinson and family; Roby Renolds and family; Donny Renolds and family.
