James "Jimmy" M. Wolivar, Jr. died on February 15, 2026, at his home in Springfield surrounded by his loved ones. He was born June 20, 1970, in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was the son of James Wolivar and Patricia Wolivar-Powell.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Wolivar; his paternal grandparents, Chester and Juanita Wolivar; and his maternal grandparents, Virgel Potter and Jean Moore.

Jimmy worked as a plumber with his dad for many years in the Bolivar and Springfield area and then with his son, Jayme for several more.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Powell, of Springfield, MO; a special friend, Tina White; his brother, David Wolivar (Karen) of Alexandria, New Hampshire; his sister, Deborah Hager (Scott) of Springfield, MO; his children, Mesha Burch (David), James Wolivar, Afton Wolivar (Angela), Carter Wolivar all of Springfield, MO; 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Maddie, Kaylee, Grayson, Rowan, and Carson; 2 great grandsons, Blaine and Drew; and by aunts, uncles, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00. Timber Ridge Cemetery, Marshfield, Missouri.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
