Obituary

James Edward "Tubby" Watson, age 84, native of Baton Rouge, resident of Eureka Springs, AK, peacefully passed on Mar. 2, 2016, as a result of a massive stroke. Graduated from Baton Rouge High Sch. where he was a multi sport athlete. First a Korean War army veteran, he then worked for AT&T and retired after 31 years. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers. His retirement was spent crossing the country doing mission work for his Lord. Tubby's lasting memory will be his love for God and his family.

Survived by his beloved bride of 61 years, Audrey Mayo Watson, sister Alice Reeves, daughter Rita Williams and husband Johnny Williams, son Randall Watson and wife Melissa Watson, daughter Kay Turner and husband JD Turner. Also by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as many Christian friends, brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Preceded in death by his parents James Edward and Roberta Devall Watson, daughter Judy McClure, and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will take place at Zachary First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, Mar. 14th, 6-8:30p and Tuesday, Mar. 15th at 10:00a with service at 11:00a.
