James Earskin McKinney Jr, 71, of Republic, MO passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024. He was born December 17, 1952, to James and Bobbie McKinney in California.

James worked for MFA for 48 years. He began his career with them in Springfield, MO and when that store closed its doors he transferred to the Aurora location. James enjoyed camping, cruising and going on vacations. As much as he liked to be busy and, on the go, he found just as much enjoyment in hanging out at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three of his sisters, Wanda McBee, Dorothy Compton, and Margie Matherly; and his granddaughter, Jessica McKinney.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy McKinney; his children, Lee Callahan, James McKinney III, Jacob McKinney and Savannah McKinney; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his siblings, Ada Chamless, Hazel Gardner, and Raymond McKinney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
