James Leroy Martin born August 21, 1964, went home March 16, 2017, at the age of 52. James loved singing and going to the casino. He was a hard worker, loved trying to help others and had changed his life around.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Barker, Springfield, MO; father, Joseph Weaver, St. Joseph, MO; sister, Cynthia Martin, Springfield, MO; brother, Larry Martin, Springfield, MO; and niece MarQuisha Adams, Springfield, MO.

James leaves behind a daughter, Amber Martin; two sons, Jordan Martin and Nathan Hill; sisters, Marilyn Foster-Martin, Janice Martin, Janine Martin and Kandra Martin; two brothers, William Martin and wife Rosetta, and Kevin Martin; uncle Leo King Sr and wife Nettie, all of Springfield, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM - 12 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2017, with the funeral service following at 12 PM, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield, MO. Repass for family and friends will be held following the services, in the Freedom Baptist Church, 2201 N Summit, Springfield, MO.
