James Larry Ganley was born March 5, 1952 in Thayer, MO and passed away Friday October 1, 2021 in Flemington, MO surrounded by his loving family.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Viola; granddaughter, Jayna Faith Barnhart and grandson James David Ganley-Olds.

James led a full life until the end and was most proud of his family; wife, Mary Ganley; daughters, Melissa Ganley-Olds (Karl), Julie Jefferies; step-daughters Michelle Groomer, Jenny Jamison; stepsons Kevin Jamison and Timmy Jamison; eighteen grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Spring and Judy Hague; numerous nieces and nephews. Many others also thought of James as a brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

James had a passion for all things outdoors and hunting. His happiest place to be was in a tree stand on opening day whether it was bow or rifle season. He used to say that the hair on his neck would start to stand on end as opening day drew close. His enthusiasm for all things outdoors was infectious and would draw you in.

The family will receive friends at a Memorial Service at Hidden Valley Funeral Home 925 E State Route 92, Kearney, MO 64060. Service date and time pending.
