Jacqueline Fleck

Jacqueline “Jackie” June Fleck, 83, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Jackie was born on November 15, 1942, in Elkhorn, Illinois, to Norman and Betty Shoemaker. She married Lawrence “Larry” Albert Paquin and raised 3 children together.

She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Jackie’s greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her three children: Penny Steele and her husband David Steele; Deanna Caywood; and Travis Paquin and his wife Michelle Paquin. She was a proud grandmother to Dustin, Brent, Tylee, Travis, Madison, McKenzie, and Morgan, and her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Remington, Clyde, Waylen, Axel, Sierra, and Westin. She was preceded in death by Lawrence Albert Paquin, Norman and Betty Shoemaker, and brother James Shoemaker.

Jackie will be remembered for her quiet strength, her loving heart, and the deep care she showed to everyone around her. She was an incredible cook whose kitchen was a place of comfort and gathering. She loved style — always put together from head to toe. She held firmly to her faith and found happiness in life’s simple gifts — especially time spent near the water, swimming, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. She was one of the strongest women we knew — always moving forward, meeting life’s challenges with determination and grace.

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and carry her love with them always.

A celebration of life will be held on April 18th from 1-4pm at the Sertoma Event Center in Springfield Missouri.
