Our Mom and Nana, our Leading Lady…

Jackie Movalean Muntz was born on May 15, 1939, and passed peacefully on July 5, 2024, with her daughters by her side. She was preceded in death by her darling Kay Kimmons (her first daughter), her parents, Eugene Hill (nephew), Dean Chambers (sister), and her most precious great granddaughter, Avery Kay Dollarhide.

She had various jobs over the years: courthouse in Florida, running a fleet of rental cars for Scheer car rental, financing, and retail.

Mom is survived by a large and loving family. 3 daughters: Jill Pastula - spouse Terence and sons Keith and Jax / Wendy Muntz - daughters: Jenny Dollarhide - spouse Alex, daughter Addison and son, Archie/ daughter Haley Martin - spouse Kyndall, daughter Tatum and son Kaden / daughter Lauren Liming - spouse Luke and son Cohen / Daughter Amy Fisch - spouse Alon, daughter Megan and son Josh.  7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren!  We are so blessed to all live so close together. Most of us within minutes and others just a few hours. And we are all so close knit. She is also survived by her niece and nephew, Debbie Cardell and Roy Chambers, her companion, Bella kitty, and many friends.

Mom was born in Alabama but raised in Florida. The beach was certainly her happy place. She had a tough (and far too short) childhood, but she made the best of everything. Mom liked to fly June bugs on fishing line for kites, climbed trees, and was loved and protected by her beloved German Shephard, Blaze. When many may have given up, Mom chose not to get knocked down by life. She rose and worked hard to live life to the fullest.

We are so grateful for the family she created for us. Mom loved nothing more than holding and rocking a baby while singing made up songs. "Holding a baby can cure anything". She sang all the time - especially while cleaning and on awesome road trips. We had a lot of adventures. She did so many things for us. I am still finding little sketches and notes she would write (as dictated by my boys) 22 years later that she would tuck into little places just for our delight. She did things like this for everyone.  Mom also had a great love for reading and loved sharing details of whatever she was reading at the time. She was a master at sudoku and crossword puzzles. And every one of us will miss her family famous back scratches.

Mom, I imagine you are holding Avery right now. No longer having to listen to us nag you to drink more water, ask how much of the pastries you had eaten, or drag you to so many appointments. We are all looking out for one another and always will. Family is eternal.  As is love.

Soar Mom! Run to Jesus. No more pain - only joy and love bigger than anything you've ever felt. Such a heavenly celebration.  I can only imagine…maybe some steel drums, Kay, Ray and Nic, Joanne, Avery... And mom, please give dad a hug from us (2 kisses from me - lol). We all love you so so much. Your presence is felt in every single part of our lives. We are so grateful for you. You loved us all so greatly. Thanks for teaching us how to be moms.

Until we see you again…love always
