Iva Lee Tinsley, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away in her home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don A Tinsley and her granddaughter, Chloe Jade Farrell.

Iva Lee was born January 12, 1933, to Walter and Edna Johnson in Alton, MO. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Farrell and her son in-law Kenton Farrell of Springfield. Granddaughters Paige Delaney Farrell of Long Beach, CA and Ivory Ashton Farrell and her grandson-in-law Mitch Slattery of Harrison, ME who all referred to her as "Grandma Mimi".

Iva Lee was very active in sports in her youth. She played volleyball and softball and was even offered a professional contract as a pitcher. A hard day's work was one of her greatest satisfactions and continued working into her 80's.  She continued to attend church throughout her life and enjoyed being involved with the church and singing hymns brought her great comfort.

Her hobbies included yard work, especially growing beautiful flowers, and bird watching, she had a particular love of hummingbirds. She also enjoyed watching sports and hunting, she was an avid bow hunter.

Later in life she still enjoyed her flowers, traveling and keeping up with her grandchildren and her grand doggies.She played a weekly Skip Bo game with her "ladies" for many years.  Some of her happiest moments in illness came from spending time with the family dogs.She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
