Huey Dale Farris, 87, of Springfield, MO, and Port Isabel, TX, passed away December 26, 2024, while in Springfield, MO. He was born November 4, 1937, in Fort Smith, AR, to Siggle and Ada Farris.

Huey was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated from high school and went straight into the Navy. Later he worked as a mechanic for Ryder Trucks.

He married Jana Darr and the two moved several times before landing in Shawnee, Kansas. Huey was the Regional Vice President of Ryder Trucks until his retirement in 1993.

He and Jana built their dream home on Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Mo where they lived for many years. They would summer there and spend the cold winters in Padre Island, Texas.

Huey enjoyed his family and friends. He and Jana loved taking dancing lessons and would spend many nights on the dance floor.

He also loved his dogs. Bree, Fred and Ginger.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
