It is with great sadness that the family of Howard Murphy Sharp II announces his passing. He died on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the age of 57 years in his home near Flemington due to a fatal allergic reaction. He was born on December 17, 1960 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Howard Murphy Sharp and Mary Jo (Steelman) Hixon.

Murphy grew up in Naples, Florida and attended high school in Willard, Missouri. In 1986, he married Valeria Sharp. Together, they had two children, Gina Arleta Sharp and Howard Murphy Sharp III. Murphy's special interests and hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, and tinkering. He loved the outdoors and having a good time.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Hixon; daughter, Gina Sharp; son, Howard Sharp III; sister, Anna T Sharp; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield, Missouri.
