Hellen Martha May West, age 81, of Bois D Arc, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in Springfield, MO. She was born July 18, 1933, in Springfield, MO, to Harvey and Doshie Crossland. Hellen loved her family and proudly served as a grandmother for the Boys and Girls Club. She was proceeded in death by her parents; son, Butch Johnston; three brothers, Bob, Charles, and Dave; and one sister, Carol. Hellen is survived by her children, Barbara Perriman; Dobbin Johnston, and Andy Johnston; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dean Crossland and Glenn Crossland; and two sisters, Della Glidewell and Ruth McMasters. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, September 22, 2014, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
