Harry Jackson McMackin Jr., 91, of Lebanon, died March 12, 2018. He was born July 25, 1926, in Christopher, Ill. to Harry Jackson Sr. and Georgia Fay Vick McMackin.
Jack was raised in Maplewood, Mo., MRH Class of 44. He served his country in Okinawa in the early 50s. On Feb. 20, 1960, he married Dorothy Jean Addison, MRH Class 55 in the Maplewood Christian Church. They built their home in High Ridge, Mo. where they raised two sons, Jonathon Brent born on April 3, 1965 (adopted) and HJM III born on Sept. 25, 1965.
Jack retired from Southwestern Bell with 43 years of service and moved to Lebanon to be near family and enjoyed a slower pace of life.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two sons, Jonathon Brent and wife Samantha and only grandchild 11-year-old Jackson McMackin, of St. Louis; HJM III (Jay) and wife Michele, of Allen, Texas; several cousins and their families and nieces, great nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Phillipsburg Christian Church followed by lunch served by the church ladies in the fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to your choice: Phillipsburg Christian Church, Integrity Hospice/Research, Alzheimers Research and American Cancer Society.
