Harold Dean Curry was born March 13, 1945, in Lawton, OK to Mildred Nadine Lemon & Harold George Curry. He was raised in the same home that Billy the Kid once lived. He had great pride in his Cherokee and Irish blood line.
He was known for his love of wilderness survival, camping and fishing. Dean passed away on July 12, 2017 in Springfield, MO. He was a graduate of Roxana High School in Roxana, Ill. Dean had many careers in his life, but enjoyed a career in welding and leather working the most. He was married to Claudine Beavers until her passing in 2007. They had a daughter, Danelle who passed away in 2008.
He was a supportive step father to Troy (Angie) Templin, Edmond OK, Kyle Templin, Tacoma WA, and Mandy Murphy, Tacoma WA. His son Randy Dean Curry passed away at a very young age. Other loved ones are his brother, Bob Curry of Gilbert, AZ, and sister Sandy (Ray) Church of Anderson, SC, a brother Steven Dale of Louisiana, and a brother Terry Lee Curry who has passed away. His grandchildren included Alexis Noren, Jeffery Ivey, Samantha (Austin) Templin Disney, Mackenzie Templin, Courtney Templin, David Templin, Kloe Kyger, Faith Kyger, and John Kyger, and two great grandchildren Benny Noren & Ellena Disney. Dean had a many friends and a few that he held dear were Jimmy Ray, Carol Burgess, and Patty Sevy.
He was a faithful member of the Mag Life Church in Morrisville, MO.
There will not be a memorial service. His children will be taking his remains to the Rocky Mountains, as he has always talked of and loved the mountains. Thank you to all who cared for Dean over the years.
